Listen: It’s a Jazz Version of Metallica’s “Enter Sandman”

Robert Haglund - I Wanna Be Somebody“Jazz” might be a little bit of a stretch here — perhaps “easy listening” is more appropriate? — but whatever this is, it’s pretty neat: a super chilled out version of “Enter Sandman.”

Swedish musician Robert Haglund has teamed up with guest musicians Bruce Kulick (KISS), Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake), Kee Marcello (Europe) and Tony Harnell (TNT) for his new album I Wanna Be Somebody, a collection of classic rock and metal covers including Dio, Twisted Sister, Van Halen, Motorhead and more.

The idea of recording non-metal versions of metal songs isn’t exactly new, but when they’re done right they sure are still a lot of fun.

I Wanna Be Somebody will be released August 19th via MMS Records.
