Behemoth Tap ex-Job For a Cowboy Drummer Jon “Charn” Rice to Fill in on U.S. Tour

0

Behemoth’s upcoming tour with Slayer and Lamb of God is gonna be quite the time, with three of metal biggest and best bands all in one place for five weeks’ worth of dates.

Unfortunately for Behemoth, drummer Inferno won’t be able to join with his second child due to be born during the run. But the band has tapped a phenomenal replacement in Jon “Charn” Rice, who is best known for his stint in Job For a Cowboy but has also played live with Revocation, Abigail Williams, The Red Chord, Cephalic Carnage and others. He’s basically THE go-to fill-in in the death metal scene, and there’s a reason: dude’s super talented.

Explains Inferno:

“I am going to be a father for the second time in my life and it’s going to happen in July of 2017. I therefore must apologize to all our fans for not being able to participate in the 2017 summer North American tour. I believe that Jon Rice, an amazing drummer, a truly experienced musician, and a good friend of ours, will flawlessly take over my drum throne for this short period and will set the stage on fire!”

Congratulations to Inferno, and here’s to hoping everything goes smoothly for him and his partner.
