Listen to The Haunted’s Latest Hot Jam “Preachers of Death”

Every single track I’ve heard from The Haunted’s forthcoming album Strength in Numbers has been STRAIGHT FIRE. Like, REALLY, REALLY fucking good. I shouldn’t be too surprised given that the current lineup is basically half of At the Gates plus Ola Englund, and yet somehow I totally did not see this coming. Surprises can be fun, though!

That said, I definitely miss Peter Dolving’s presence in this band. Marco Aro is a fine metal vocalist, and I know a lot of The Haunted fans are partial to his work with the band, but Dolving was so much more of a dynamic and interesting vocalist that took the band’s music to the next level. To say nothing of his outspoken, always intriguing personality off the stage.

But let’s not get too caught up in that, because The Haunted just released another new song called “Preachers of Death” and it’s a perfect slice of aggressive Swedish melodeath. It follows the previously released “Brute Force” and “Spark” from Strength in Numbers, which drops August 25 on Century; pre-order it here!
