King Parrot’s New Song Ain’t No “Disgrace”
When King Parrot last released a new song from their forthcoming album Ugly Produce a coupla weeks back, Vince noted that it’s very, very hard to understand what the what frontman Matt Young is screaming. So, lucky for us, Young has actually released a statement explaining the meaning behind the band’s new new song from from their forthcoming album Ugly Produce, “Disgrace Yourself”:
“Bellow at people desperate for stardom and the lengths they’ll go to be recognized. The whole culture of TV, X-Factor, American Idol bullshit has had a big hand in the way the music industry is run these days, and it has seeped right into the metal world. This song is a big fuck you to that whole ideology that needs to be dead and buried.”
Young speaks the truth. Desperate people will go to great lengths to be recognized. Some even stoop as low as joining Emmure or King 810. Talk about disgracing yourself. Shiver.
Check out “Disgrace Yourself” below. Ugly Produce will be out September 22nd via Housecore Records; pre-order here.
