Melvins Release New Song + Video, “Embrace the Rub”

The new Melvins song, “Embrace the Rub,” was written by Steven McDonald (Redd Kross, OFF!) — one of two bassists who appears on the band’s new album, Pinkus Abortion Technician, along with Jeff Pinkus — and Dale Crover calls the track a “punker tune throwback to [McDonald’s] days as a young Hawthorne, CA punk hanging out with Black Flag.” If you’re not already sold on the idea of the Melvins channeling Black Flag, I don’t know what else I could say to sway you. I mean. It’s all right there.
