Alice in Chains are Releasing a Film Called Black Antenna

Alice in Chains are getting set to release a film inspired by their latest album Rainier Fog.

The film, entitled Black Antenna, is a 90-minute sci-fi endeavor produced and directed by filmmaker Adam Mason. The film will be rolled out in ten episodes, beginning at the top of the new year, with each one set to a different song from Rainier Fog.

From the trailer, posted below, it seems as if the film will follow one cohesive narrative story as opposed to being a collection of music videos / vignettes, each with separate plots. I like that. Although it also seems that perhaps the film will utilize some footage from the band’s previously released music videos from Rainier Fog? Here’s what drummer Sean Kinney had to say, which is incredibly unclear: “Everything that will be seen in the videos will be footage from ‘Black Antenna’ to preface the complete film’s release.”

We’ll see, I suppose! I’m intrigued.
