Corey Taylor Teases New Slipknot Mask

So Corey Taylor posted the below on Instagram. It’s not entirely clear what the heck we’re looking at, but based on one of the three hashtags he uses in the caption — specifically, #newface — we can assume it has something to do with his new Slipknot mask. Some people think this may be a close-up of a mold. Really it just looks like a VHS tape to me. So that dates me.

Soon… #thenewface #2019 #wanyk

Something else perhaps worth noting: the #wanyk hashtag. Apparently, it stands for “We are not your kind,” which is a lyric from the group’s recent single, “All Out Life” (in the accompanying music video, the initials are stenciled on the white jumpsuits). Could the band’s new album be called We Are Not Your Kind? I’m obviously speculating here… I just dunno why else they’d call attention to that particular lyric.

More on this incredibly important story as it develops.
