Whitechapel Debut New Song “When a Demon Defiles a Witch” via NSFW VideoWere you the kind of idiot who was pissed off about the clean vocals in Whitechapel’s most recent single, “Third Depth”? Well, tough shit, fuck-o! The band’s new song, “When a Demon Defiles a Witch,” is also outside the norm for the deathcore outfit. It’s certainly a lot pummel-ier than “Depth,” with the clean vocals limited to the background and one really cool, hypnotic section in the middle, but still. “The Saw is the Law” this ain’t.

Personally, I’m all about peeps tryin’ new shit right now, and I’m into this somewhat more melodic (by deathcore standards at least) direction. (For the record, I also really dig the song’s guitar solo.) Hopefully everyone who was a big baby about Suicide Silence’s last album doesn’t lose their shit here, too.

You can check out “When a Demon Defiles a Witch” via the below Mathis Arnell-directed video, which you should consider NSFW for graphic violence. The track will appear on Whitechapel’s forthcoming album The Valley, which will come out March 29 on Metal Blade. It features drums by Navene Koperweis, currently of Entheos and formerly of Animals as Leaders. You can pre-order it here.
