Metallica and Slipknot Add Dates To Their “Down Under” Tour


In early March, Metallica and Slipknot announced an Australian tour, which also features one show in New Zealand. The bands have now added two more dates to the existing tour — a second show in Melbourne, and another performance in Auckland, New Zealand. They probably figured they could sell out two dates, so why not kill two birds with one stone? The new dates go on sale April 9.

If you’re not in Australia, you can catch still catch Slipknot this summer at their 2019 North American Knotfest tour with Volbeat, Behemoth, and Gojira, Metallica on tour in Europe with Ghost and Slipknot on the European festival circuit.

Oct. 17 — Perth, Australia @ Optus Stadium
Oct. 20 — Adelaide, Australia @ Adelaide Oval
Oct. 22 — Melbourne, Australia @ Marvel Stadium
Oct. 24 — Melbourne, Australia @ Marvel Stadium (recently announced)
Oct. 26 — Sydney, Australia @ ANZ Stadium
Oct. 29 — Brisbane, Australia @ QSAC
Oct. 31 — Auckland, New Zealand @ Mt. Smart Stadium
Nov. 2 — Auckland, New Zealand @ Mt. Smart Stadium (recently announced)
