Korn have made good on their promise to do something exciting today. Specifically, they’ve announced that they’ll release a new album, The Nothing, on September 13, and debuted the first single from that album, “You’ll Never Find Me.”

Here’s The Nothing‘s cover art, which even someone with severe Korn allergies has to admit is pretty cool:

Unfortunately, I can’t really say the same thing about “You’ll Never Find Me.” Even if I don’t like Korn, there are Korn songs where I appreciate why someone else might like them: songs like “Blind,” “Falling Away from Me,” and “Here to Stay,” whether or not you actually dig them, are undeniably effective as songs, powered by big, radio-friendly hooks. But other than the boilerplate Korn breakdown that starts around the 1:50 mark — y’know, the part of every Korn song where Jonathan Davis repeats a simple phrase in an agonized whisper that gradually builds to a furious scream — I don’t think much about “Find Me” is especially memorable.

But maybe that’s just me! I’ll be legitimately curious to hear what actual Korn fans think.

Check out the track below. Pre-order The Nothing here. Korn launch a tour with Alice in Chains next month; dates are here.
