Epica Announce Design Your Universe Tenth Anniversary North American Shows

Symphonic metal royalty Epica are in the process of a year-long, tenth anniversary celebration of their 2009 album Design Your Universe. With three shows in Europe, one in Israel, another in Russia, and a whole bunch in Central and South America taking place throughout 2019, North American fans have been wondering when their chance to see Epica perform these songs live would come.

And now they have the answer: in January, 2020! There will be three shows — Montreal, Los Angeles and New York — and while it doesn’t seem there are any more in the works, you never know. From the sounds of it, Epica will not be performing the entire album, but playing most of its songs dispersed among others from the band’s catalogue. While that may disappoint you, at least there’ll be no clunkers.

Says frontwoman Simone Simons:

“Our highly acclaimed album Design Your Universe is 10 years old and that calls for a celebration. And of course the US and Canada should be part of our anniversary tour as well! We will be doing some exclusive shows where we will be playing many DYU songs. I hope you’ll come and join the party!”
