Brutus Post “Sugar Dragon” Live Video and Announce U.S. Tour
It was Brutus’s video for “War,” shot in one take inside a studio with live audio and released this past winter, that first turned me onto the band’s new album, Nest, one of my favorites of the year. And I don’t think I was alone: it wasn’t long before the jaw-droppingly impressive video started making the rounds and converting one new Brutus fan after the next.
So it’s only fitting that the Belgian trio has chosen another live video, this one filmed at a show in Ghent in their native country, to kick off their upcoming touring schedule. If this clip doesn’t get bodies into the room, nothing will.
What’s more, after the band finishes their tour of Europe, which will last through mid-October, they’ll be coming to the U.S. for a special run of eight shows. I was lucky enough to catch the band’s set at Hellfest in France in June, and I CANNOT WAIT to see them again. Magical.
