Exclusive Track Premiere: M:40’s “Handen Som Gungar Vaggan”

To say that Sweden’s M:40 play crusty d-beat would an injustice to their work. The band takes their name from a type of rifle, and the title of their new song, “Handen Som Gungar Vaggan,” translates into “The Hand That Swings the Rock.” Those two facts should give you some more insight into the sound of M:40 and their new album, Arvsynd (Original Sin). This. Band. Is. Not. Fucking. Around. They don’t play d-beat so much as they play d-beatdown; they’re not crusty, they are positively caked in goddamn filth. Every second of their music is corrosive — even the looser, more expansive, cinematic sections. If you dig bands like Disfear and Kvelertak, you will definitely be way into M:40.

MetalSucks is proud to premiere the rock-swingin’ “Handen Som Gungar Vaggan,” which you can check out below! Arvsynd comes out September 28 on Suicide Records. Pre-order it here.
