Beneath the Massacre Announce First New Album in Seven Years

0

It’s crazy to think that Beneath the Massacre have now reached genre legend status, but indeed, Beneath the Massacre have now reached genre legend status. Along with The Red Chord, Ion Dissonance and a small handful of other bands, the Québécois outfit all but invented deathcore in the early-to-mid ’00s before second-gen bands like Whitechapel and Suicide Silence would go on to perfect the formula and bring it to new heights.

Time is a flat circle and nothing matters. Also, we’re old.

In any case, Beneath the Massacre just announced their return from a seven-year hiatus with a new album, Fearmonger, scheduled to come out on February 28 via Century Media. There’s not a whole lot to go on yet — both BTM and Century issued statements explaining how excited they are to be working with one another — but the band will embark upon a European tour with Archspire, Vulvodynia, and Inferi later this month, so that’s exciting for our friends across the pond.

We’re sure it won’t be long at all before Beneath the Massacre drop a new single. In the meantime, those tour dates:
