Primus to Perform A Farewell to Kings on Rush Tribute Tour

  • Axl Rosenberg

Their name used to be “Mud,” but maybe now it oughta be “Primush.”

Primus will pay tribute to late Rush drummer Neil Peart (who died earlier this year from brain cancer) with a gigantic summer tour on which, in true prog-rock fashion, they will play two sets every night: one of originals, and one consisting of them covering Rush’s 1977 classic A Farewell to Kings in its entirety.

Icing on the cake — or not, depending on your POV — is that support on all dates will come from Wolfmother, and support on some dates will come from The Sword or Battles. Which I guess means The Sword’s hiatus is over! Black Sabbath fans, rejoice!
