Slipknot Think They’re Touring Europe Next Summer, Announce Dates

0

Slipknot have announced a slate of tour dates in Europe for next year, betting that concerts will have returned to their pre-pandemic form by summer.

Whether those shows happen or not, or in what form, is anyone’s guess. Live promoters have been bullish about a return to concerts “at scale” by next summer, while recent information suggests Covid-19 vaccines will not be implemented in enough of the population by then to allow folks to gather at concerts like we used to. There’s also the issue of whether people will feel safe congregating in that fashion by then, regardless of a vaccine.

It’s a risk. But Slipknot have to know that, and feel like it’s worth it to push these dates out now and get them on sale. Several of these dates are at festivals who have been similarly bullish about their chances of operating next summer. We’ll see what happens.

Here they re:

Jul. 22 – Plovdiv, Bulgaria – Hills Of Rock
