Wheel Channel Serious Tool Vibes on New Single, “Movement”

Have you ever thought to yourself that you wished there were a band that summoned the darkness and magic of Tool but updated the sound for the modern age? Look no further: Wheel are that band.

Finnish four-piece Wheel haven’t reinvented the… uh… right. But they’ve just released “Movement,” the debut single from their sophomore album, Resident Human, and for all the Tool wannabes to dot the planet for the past 25 years, these guys are doing the best job of not sounding just like Tool while still sounding kinda like Tool, if that makes sense. The composition, production, general vibe and overall approach are right in line, but updated for modern sensibilities, and with some extra-stellar riffsmanship. The music video’s even got some trippy visuals. Well done, everyone!
