P.O.D. Announce Satellite 20th Anniversary Tour

0

The tour announcements have been rolling in this week, with Architects, Judas Priest, The Black Dahlia Murder and The Acacia Strain all announcing runs for the fall in the past two days, to name a few — joining Red Fang, Soulfly, Clutch and Atreyu last week — on top of festivals like Rocklahoma and Knotfest vying for your dollars.

And then there’s P.O.D. Sad trombone.

Those with an itch for late-era nu-metal nostalgia can scratch that when P.O.D. celebrate the 20th anniversary of their 2001 album, Satellite, which spawned the hits “Alive,” “Youth of the Nation” and the title track.

The same lineup that recorded Satellite is still miraculously intact (guitarist Marcos Curiel left for a brief stint from 2003 through 2007). That’s pretty impressive, I’ll give them that, and rare.

From Ashes to New, All Good Things and Sleep Signals will open most dates.
