Trivium are Teasing Something

0

It’s been a busy pandemic for Trivium, whatwith several livestream performances, frontman Matt Heafy’s unrelenting Twitch schedule and — what seems like ancient history already — the release of an album, What the Dead Men Say, in April of 2020.

Could Trivium be preparing for another album drop already? A teaser posted to the band’s social media accounts yesterday is leading fans to speculate that could be the case.

The band posted an image of a book floating in the ocean along with the words, “The stars have died and the Heavens go up in flames.” Those words don’t appear anywhere in Trivium’s lyrics. Trivium do have a big tour planned (with Megadeth, Lamb of God and In Flames) but that’s been announced for ages, no need to tease it now.

So… what is it? A live release, perhaps? Another livestream? Taking the image literally, maybe a book of some sort? Or, in fact, new music?

Presumably we’ll find out soon enough. Stay tuned.

Heafy revealed earlier this week that he and his family contracted Covid-19 despite being vaccinated. Thankfully the vaccine did its job and the resulting infection was not serious.
