The “Devil Will Survive” This Slipknot/Gloria Gaynor Mash-Up
I woke up this morning to a flurry of read e-mails about Mike “DYNAMIKE” Logan’s mash-up of Slipknot’s “Devil in I” and Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive,” and I was all, “Wait, didn’t we cover this shit already?”
Then I realized that I was confusing with this with a different mash-up from last year: DJ Cummerbund’s melding of Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive” and Van Halen’s “Jump” (which, I feel it’s worth mentioning, was released five months before Eddie Van Halen died — so Cummerbund wasn’t just “Jump”-ing on the EVH memorial bandwagon).
ANYWAY, Logan’s Slipknot/Gaynor mash-up is just as good as Cummerbund’s Van Halen/Gaynor mash-up. This town is big enough for the two of ’em.
