Rivers of Nihil Announce New Album, The Work
After sharing a pair of cryptic video teasers over the past week, Rivers of Nihil have unveiled the name of their fourth album, The Work, along with the cover artwork.
A streaming premiere of what figures to be the album’s first single is set for Tuesday, July 27 at noon EDT / 9am PDT; you can view that on Metal Blade Records’ YouTube channel right here and click the “Set Reminder” button to be notified when it goes live.
Renowned metal illustrator Dan Seagrave once again painted the album cover (above), his fourth such composition for the band. The Work will be based around winter and will be the final album in Rivers of Nihil’s seasonal suite that began with The Conscious Seed of Light in 2013 (spring), and will follow Where Owls Know My Name (autumn) from 2018. Monarchy (summer) came out in 2015.
Catch Rivers of Nihil on tour in North American this September and October with The Black Dahlia Murder, Carnifex, After the Burial and Undeath, and in Europe with Archspire, Black Crown Initiate and To the Grave in November and December. Dates below.
