Archspire “Bleed the Future” on New 400 BPM Cut

0

Archspire are one of those bands whose music fans can recognize instantly, that combination of chainsaw tech-death and Oliver Rae Aleron’s death-bark absolutely unmistakable.

That said, I feel as if the band’s latest track, “Bleed the Future” — also the title of their forthcoming, newly announced album — branches out a little with some nifty melodic passages that border into Obscura territory (not a huge stretch, like I said, but still). The track arrives with a lyric video — ALWAYS fun with Archspire! — and you can watch that below.

The band comments, claiming the track is 400 beats per minute (anyone wanna verify that? not that I have reason to doubt they could nail it, just wondering if they’re kidding for emphasis!):

“ALL ABOARD!!! The Archspire train keeps rolling today with a new single, ‘Bleed the Future!’ We’ve donned our conductor hats and overalls, and we’re speeding at 400BPM to give you a taste of our upcoming album! We hope you CHOO-CHOOSE! to pickup a pre-order package; fuel for this engine doesn’t pay for itself!”

Give it a spin below. Bleed The Future comes out on October 29. The band has an album release show at Vancouver’s Rickshaw Theatre on October 30 and a European co-headline line with Rivers of Nihil in November/December that seems in doubt due to Covid.
