Omnium Gatherum Channel Autumn Vibes in New Single/Video, “Fortitude”

Adult-oriented death metal torchbearers Omnium Gatherum are back with a new slice of Death Leppard, “Fortitude,” the video for which serves as a better advertisement for Finland tourism than any government or local tourism board could possibly produce.

Musically, “Fortitude” is a bit more gloomy than its two predecessors from the band’s next album, “Reckoning” and “Paragon.” Slower and more melancholic, the song is harmonically grim and morose, perfect for the early autumn Finnish coastline and cozy cabin at which the video was shot. Dunno about you, but I’m boarding the next flight to Karhula and hiring Omnium Gatherum to be my tour guides.
