K.K. Downing Says These Are the Six Most Important Judas Priest Songs

0

Former Judas Priest guitarist K.K. Downing has provided Classic Rock with a list of the six songs he believes are the most important in the band’s catalogue.

You can check out his picks below. Go here to read his explanations each selection.

Downing’s new band, K.K.’s Priest, released their debut album, Sermons of the Sinner, earlier this month. The band also features former Judas Priest vocalist Tim “Ripper” Owens, guitarist A.J. Mills (Hostile), bassist Tony Newton (Voodoo Six), and drummer Sean Elg (Deathriders, Cage), who replaced former Judas Priest drummer Les Binks at some point along the way.

Downing recently said that he feels “justified” in using the Priest moniker in his new band’s name, citing his legacy with Judas Priest and a misunderstanding surrounding his departure from the band in 2011.

Judas Priest, meanwhile, we recently forced to call off an already in-progress North American tour when Downing’s successor, Richie Faulkner, suffered an aortic aneurysm and dissection mid-performance. After undergoing emergency open heart surgery, Faulkner is now home and recovering.

“Victim of Changes”

“Take On the World”

“Breaking the Law”

“You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’”

“Turbo Lover”

“Painkiller”
