Video: Opeth Play First Show With Therion Drummer Sami Karppinen


Opeth kicked off their co-headlining tour with Mastodon last night (November 16) in Asheville, NC.

The performance marked the band’s first show with Therion’s Sam Karppinen, who was announced as the group’s new touring drummer earlier the day. The band has split with longtime skinsman Martin “Axe” Axenrot over an unspecified “conflict of interests.”
