What happens when two of the hottest young bands in metal perform at the same event?

A cameo, of course, which is precisely what unfolded when Spiritbox and Knocked Loose both opened for Every Time I Die at the latter’s annual hometown ‘TID The Season show in Buffalo, NY this past weekend.

Spiritbox singer Courtley LaPlante joined Knocked Loose for a performance of “A Serpent’s Touch,” a song from the band’s 2019 album A Different Shade Of Blue, and naturally there’s now footage of the collaboration, which you can watch below. Despite their very different styles of metal, I love to see these two bands — who are both very much at the forefront of metal’s up and comers right now — teaming up like this. The performance is fire, naturally.

For what it’s worth, it seems that Every Time I Die’s own segment of the show went off without a hitch despite the recent drama between the band and their singer, Keith Buckley. Positive progress, I suppose.

Check out footage of LaPlante’s guest appearance with Knocked Loose below.
