Machine Head Launch Video Chronicling the Making of Their New Album

  • Axl Rosenberg

Machine Head have launched a video series giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of their new album.

The first episode, which focuses on Machine Head mastermind Robb Flynn recording guitars with producer Zack Ohren (All Shall Perish, Cattle Decapitation, etc.) can be viewed below. And to answer your most pressing question — yes, it does contain some samples of heavy new Machine Head riffage.

Also worth noting: this was filmed in June of last year, and in December, drummer Navene Koperweis (Entheos, ex-Animals as Leaders, Animosity) posted a photo from the studio along with the caption “That’s a wrap!” Point being, if a) they’ve been recording since at least last summer and b) they’re now releasing promotional videos, the album is probably closer to release than we’d realized. In fact, I’m gonna go ahead and recklessly speculate that there will be a new Machine Head album this summer. (Please note I am totally hypothesizing there. I have no insider info. K? K great.)

And with that out of the way — enjoy:
