Sit Down for Papa Roach’s “Stand Up”

Papa Roach have released a new single called “Stand Up.” Some of it sounds like faux-Rage Against the Machine with one of the idiots from Kottonmouth Kings rapping over it.

Those are the good parts.

There’s also a section that sounds like the worst club song ever and a chorus that sounds like it should be in the trailer for a movie adaptation you’ll never see of a YA novel you’ll never read.

In the band’s defense, the song was produced by Jason Evigan, who is known for his work with Maroon 5, Pitbull, and the Jonas Brothers. So stab-yourself-in-the-ears-annoying is what they were going for. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
