Avenged Sevenfold’s Benefit Shirt Money Bought Ukrainian Citizens Bulletproof Vests With the Band’s Name On Them

I’ve never worn a bulletproof vest, because I’ve never needed to, because I’m a lucky son of a bitch and have a really nice life that will likely not become a war zone any time soon. People in the Ukraine, on the other hand, have to worry about catching bullets every day right now, not just on the front lines fending off Vladimir Putin’s insane invasion of their homeland but also on the streets of their cities where bullets and shrapnel are flying every day. So while it might seem a little intense, it’s pretty noble that the money from Avenged Sevenfold’s Ukrainian benefit shirt went to a bigass pile of bulletproof vests…branded with the band’s name, of course.

For those of you who haven’t seen them already, A7X’s shirts feature Betty Boop as a Ukrainian guardian angel. The band originally posted them on Twitter in March, writing:

“100% of proceeds of the Guardian Tee at http://A7XWorld.com will be sent to help with supplies and humanitarian efforts in Ukraine. We will personally match the donation for each shirt bought. The art is drawn by our friend Ukrainian artist @crypto_vandals.

“He is currently in Ukraine helping with the ongoing war effort. If you can support please do or if unable please share this in hopes that someone else can. Thank you all”

Now, Avenged frontman M Shadows posted the following to his Twitter over images of a stack of bulletproof vests featuring patches (we think they’re patches?) reading, ”Supporting Ukrainian People – AVENGED SEVENFOLD.”

“This is real life. Thank you to the @TheOfficialA7X @DeathbatsClub community for supporting this cause. Our T – Shirt donation bought many bullet proof vests for the Ukrainian people to save lives. Sent directly to the people using @ethereum Thank you @crypto_vandals.
