Dream Theater Keyboardist Jordan Rudess Announces Solo Tour

Last we heard from Dream Theater keyboard player Jordan Rudess was when we included his benefit EP on our list of artist-driven initiatives to help people in the Ukraine. Now, however, Jordan has announced a U.S. solo tour, to kick off this June.

According to the video teaser that he posted on his YouTube, Jordan is hitting 22 cities in total, some of which he’s never played solo before. The concerts will include a 15-minute instrumental medley of Dream Theater tracks, which Jordan arranged with help from Eren Başbuğ, the conductor who helped the band put together their 2014 live album Breaking the Fourth Wall. This’ll also be the first time Jordan plays guitar in his solo shows, so music nerds of all instrumental schools will have something to salivate over here.
