Sh*t That Comes Out Today – December 16, 2022
We’re getting REAL close to the birth of that one religious icon. The release calendar is as barren as my crops. Let’s get into it; as always, find available titles through Gimme Metal.
It’s the return of Bloodclot, the crossover project of ex-Cro-Mags frontman John Joseph. There’s not a whole lot of wheel reinventing here; just some quick, nasty crossover attitude.
Ravenous Despondency (Horror Pain Gore Death)
Originally formed in the mid-’90s, New Jersey death dealers Percussor had a brief two-year run before splitting up. They reformed in 2014, fronted by original guitarist and vocalist Jack Carmichael. Ravenous Despondency is their fifth full-length since then and they’re making up for lost time with this slab of nasty, old-school death that sounds like an unearthed ’90s relic.
Cruelty and Corruption (Metal.hu)
Vented features members of Chimaira, DevilDriver and Sinsaenum and it kind of sounds like all of those bands. There’s lots of the groove you’d expect from Chimaira and DevilDriver, plus some heavier sections, as well as a few Slipknot-esque melodic parts.
