Rob Halford is Just Like All of Us When Jamming to “5 Minutes Alone”

Earlier this month, the Pantera tribute featuring surviving members Phil Anselmo and bassist Rex Brown, with guitarist Zakk Wylde and drummer Charlie Benante filling in for the late Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul played to packed crowds down in Central and South America. And even though Brown was forced to sit out the final few shows due to illness, that didn’t stop fans from bouncing off their hombres and blowing out their voices.

During at least one of the shows, Judas Priest was also on the bill and you know what that means. Iconic vocalist Rob Halford graced the stage with his friends in the band. Albeit, he didn’t actually grab a mic and start singing along with Phil. Instead, he stood in the wings and bang his head.

At least Halford’s a making good on a statement he made back in October, when he said he’d instead be “on the side of the stage.. banging my head like a maniac.”

Pantera finished their first slate of tours back on December 18 and won’t hit the stage again until next May. That being said, they’ll be opening for Metallica during their M72 Tour, supporting 72 Seasons.
