Avenged Sevenfold Are Teasing Something at Midnight

0

It seems like new Avenged Sevenfold is coming following weeks of teasers and fake outs from the band. In late February, the band posted a message canceling their festival appearances, citing delays with their new album. Singer M. Shadows later clarified that the band had been “hacked” and that these things weren’t true, which made sense because the message had only been posted on the band’s podcast—using an alleged deepfake of Shadows voice—and not on their social media.

The hacker group was later “revealed” to be hacker collective Libad5343, who continued to post teaser messages on the Avenged Sevenfold Twitter account before telling everyone to log off and go outside, which is totally why they’d been posting messages on a computer, using the internet.

Of course, it got more convoluted and, using coordinates found in Avenged Sevenfold’s Discord server, fans found coordinates that led them to San Jose, CA venue The Ritz, which had an advertisement for “Libad5343 Presents Nobody.” You can read all the nerdy details from our besties at Metal Injection, which leads us to today’s message: an unlisted video that fans have found, counting down to 11am Eastern Standard Time.

The word “Nobody” can be read on the wall and there are some other hints that line up with what the band members have been teasing over the last few weeks. We still don’t know exactly what this means but odds seem pretty good that we’ll have a new single (maybe called “Nobody”?) at 11am tomorrow. Or maybe it’ll be an NFT, anything is possible in 2023.
