The Bam Margera Manhunt is Over
For the last couple days, we’ve silently been waiting for the worst kind of news when it came to former Jackass star and MTV provocateur Bam Margera. Thankfully, that’s no longer needed, as he’s now in police custody after turning himself in to authorities.
According to a tweet just moments ago from Pennsylvania State Police Public Information Officer James Grothey, the embattled public figure handed himself over to police at their Avondale station. This came after days of not knowing where Margera had gone after attacking his brother, threatening to kill members of his family, and then fleeing into the Pennsylvania woods.
Grothey said Margera was subsequently processed and booked before being arraigned in district court. The judge set a $50,000 unsecured bail for Margera.
This is honestly the best case scenario for Bam at this point, given the circumstances. Given the fact that he allegedly threatened to shoot his brother Jess Margera by saying “I’ll kill you. I’ll put a bullet in your head” before apparently making that same threat to everyone in the house, it wouldn’t be much of a stretch to think police would have considered him armed and dangerous.
Just yesterday, Jess told his Twitter followers that Bam was on the run with his new girlfriend and her 8-year-old child and that this all kicked off thanks to a meth-induced “meltdown.”
Bam has a long road ahead of him in terms of legal proceedings given everything that’s gone down, but the first step will be his appearance at the Chester County Court of Common Pleas on May 25.
