Cavalera Drop Their Re-Recorded Version of “Bestial Devastation”

0

The brothers Cavalera are re-recording two releases from Sepultura‘s discography, Morbid Visions and Bestial Devastation, and the latest single is the second album’s title track. Set for release on July 14 via Nuclear Blast, both albums will give long-time fans of those albums, Sepultura, or the Cavaleras, a chance to hear a new take on some classic thrash.

As you’ll hear in the clip below, things sound cleaner. Maybe they sound a bit more modern. According to Max Cavalera, that was by design, as the brothers’ tastes and styles have grown over the years.

“As we get harder year after year, sometimes you’ve got to go back to where it all started! We re-recorded Bestial Devastation and Morbid Visions with the amazing sound of NOW, but with its raw and timeless spirit. The artwork reflects the times we’re living in right now…. Apocalyptic as hell! We also have two new tracks with riffs from those days, remembered by heart.”

Both re-recorded albums will be released via Nuclear Blast Records on July 14. You can pre-order and pre-save both Morbid Visions and Bestial Devastation today. You can also get your hands on tickets for their upcoming tour, including a performance at the first ever Metal Injection Festival. Dates can be found below.
