Earlier this week, fans of prog metal and the intricacies it provides got to take in some of the best in the scene under a single bill, as Dream Theater, Devin Townsend, and Animals as Leaders continued on their DreamSonic 2023 tour. Billed as a touring prog-metal festival, DreamSonic ran from mid-June until last night, where the whole shebang came to a close in Phoenix, Arizona.

Thankfully, we were able to get the talented Derek Tobias out to the San Jose gig this past Monday so we could get these absolutely sick photos on the site. As a predominantly east coast operation, it’s great we have someone as awesome behind the camera as Derek out there to capture the shows we can’t easily attend.
