Dragonforce Announce North American Tour After Signing Up with Napalm Records

Whether you know of them for “Through The Fire And Flames” on Guitar Hero, you follow guitarist Herman Li on Twitch, or you’re just a fan of bombastic power metal, then you’re probably extremely familiar with Dragonforce. And if that’s the case, then the announcement of a North American tour later this year is likely going to excite the living shit out of you.

Announced literally moments ago, the tour will kick off on October 20 in Mesa, Arizona and continue for 24 dates until it comes to an end in Los Angeles on November 19. Coming along for the ride will be Amaranthe, NanowaR of Steel, and Edge of Paradise.

Speaking about the upcoming tour, Li said the band plans to treat long-time fans with some deep cuts in their setlist.

“We’re really looking forward to touring in the US and Canada again. We’ve prepared a new setlist with some brand new songs that we’ll be releasing before the tour begins. Alongside these, we’ll also be playing some older songs that haven’t been in our setlist for a long time, as well as some classic favorites that are a must. It’s shaping up to be a fantastic tour!”

News of the tour coincides with the revelation that Dragonforce also have a new home, as they’ve signed a worldwide contract with Napalm Records. According to a press release regarding the signing, the band say they’re working on their “most ambitious album” at the moment, which is saying something if you’ve ever heard their past output.

Napalm Reocrds Managing Director Thomas Caser said the label was absolutely stoked to add Dragonforce to their roster of exciting bands.

“It’s an absolute honor to team up with the mighty Dragonforce and announce this signing today. Their speed, sound and hooks are undeniably legendary along with their captivating and unique concepts! We look forward to getting their new music out to the world!”

We’ll see how that partnership works out in the future, but for now all you need to worry about is the tour and how you’re going to attend. You can find all of Dragonforce’s announced show dates down below, along with links to get your hands on some tickets.
