Wintersun’s Teemu Mäntysaari Nailed His First Show as Stand In for Megadeth

Earlier this week, it was announced that Megadeth guitarist Kiko Loureiro would be unable to join the rest of the band for their upcoming leg of the “Crush The World” tour due to a family emergency. In his wake, the band welcomed Wintersun‘s Teemu Mäntysaari to fill in the vacancy.

Well, the band’s first show with Mäntysaari in the mix took place yesterday in Albuquerque and by all accounts online, it looks like he absolutely nailed it. Fan footage showed him going through the motions of each song, almost as if he’d been a part of the band for a while by that point.

And honestly, it makes sense that Mäntysaari would be able to fit in a role so quickly. The guy’s apparently been playing guitar since he was 12 and he’s 36 today. Twenty-four years of doing anything will usually make you pretty good at it.
