3 Inches of Blood Announce “Full Circle Return” Show in Vancouver Set for January

Last Tuesday, the hordes of heavy metal non-believers were put on notice when Canadian metal outfit 3 Inches of Blood teased a potential reunion in 2024. They posted a photo of the band’s silhouettes with 2024 written under it and it was off to the races, as wild speculation swirled as to what it all meant.

Well just moments ago we finally got our answer and it’s exactly what we were hoping for. Nearly nine years after the band’s apparent end, 3 Inches of Blood announced their first gig back with Unto Others set to provide support. In a recent post on their social media accounts, the band said they were heading back to the very venue they hung it up back in 2015 for a “full circle return.”

“After nearly a decade, 3 Inches Of Blood are returning for a concert in their hometown of Vancouver Canada on January 13, 2024. The bands full circle return will begin in the same place it ended, at the legendary Commodore Ballroom on Granville Street.

“Tickets officially go on sale September 15th at 10 am PST at livenation.com. Pre sale tickets will be available on September 12th at 10:00 am PST. Check out the 3 Inches Of Blood Instagram and Facebook pages for pre sale code. Come celebrate an epic night of music. Long Live Heavy Metal! #heavymetal #3inchesofblood #canadianmetalscene”

For those that don’t know, 3 Inches of Blood fucking ripped back in the day, with five full-length albums under their belt that were chock full of songs extolling the virtues of true heavy metal and how its enemies must die by their blade. Their single “Deadly Sinners,” off of the 2004 album Advance and Vanquish, was even used in three video games in the early 2000s (Tony Hawk’s Underground 2, Saints Row 2, and Brütal Legend). Sadly, the band announced their breakup in June 2015 and played their final two shows at the Commodore Ballroom back on November 7 and 8, 2015.

So who’s going to go?! I’m glad I got my passport updated recently, so I might need to make the trek to the frozen white north if I want to see this band. And you should too.
