Exclusive Album Stream: Bulletbelt Bring the Blistering Heat on Burn It Up

0

There may be less than 40 minutes of music on Bulletbelt’s upcoming album release Burn It Up, but let’s be clear about something from the rip — this shit is bursting with some blackened thrash-ass tunes. Seriously, as only their fifth full-length studio effort, these Kiwi metalheads sure know how to mash a classic sound with modern technique and precision.

As it turns out, you only need eight tracks to make your case with an album like Burn It Up. While songs like “Arminius,” “Incendium Magnum Romae,” and the title track easily hearken back to the good ol’ days of balls to the wall metal, there are other tracks like “No Afterlife” that take a different tact all together.

Speaking on album and its upcoming release this Friday, Bulletbelt founder and drummer Steve Francis said Burn It Up was born from the lessons learned since the group’s inception.

Burn It Up is our fifth album in a 14-year wild ride of ups, downs and some unforgettable experiences along the way. We channeled everything we’ve learnt on this journey into the album. These songs are written to be played live and to get people moving.

“This is a living, breathing album recorded with no replacements, real amps and a whole lot of ‘humanness’ to it. The spirit of classic 80’s metal albums is stamped all over Burn It Up. Close your eyes on the chorus of the title track and you might just hear Blackie Lawless bellowing back at you.”

So be sure to hit play below and check Burn It Up before it drops this Friday, September 22. If you like what you hear, you can pre-order and/or pre-save the album today.
