Check Out Panopticon’s Latest Single “The Blue Against The White”

North American black metal is out here having a fucking moment, man. Acts like Blackbraid and Wayfarer are doing some seriously interesting things in the subgenre that could really only exist on this part of the world, but Panopticon should absolutely be included in the conversation.

Since its reveal back in August, we’ve been patiently waiting for the release of Panopticon’s forthcoming album The Rime Of Memory, which is due on November 29. Having already heard “I Erindringens Høstlige Dysterhet” and “Cedar Skeletons,” I know I’m crazy excited to hear more. And thankfully, we all get a chance to get exactly that, as Panopticon mastermind Austin Lunn released the album’s closing track, “The Blue Against The White.”

As you can hear below, it’s seriously exceptional black metal at its finest. Featuring guest vocals by Johan, of Efterbild and Höstblod, the song simply sounds massive.

Panopticon’s album The Rime Of Memory will be released on November 29 via Bandcamp and here via the band’s official shop.
