Girlschool to Tour North America for the Last Time Next Year

0

For roughly 45 years, Girlschool has reigned as one of the longest-running New Wave of British Heavy Metal acts still around and active today. But like all things in life, things are coming to an end for the band, as they’ve just announced the first leg of their final North American tour.

Scheduled to start on March 21 in Houston, Texas, the tour will run through 10 days across the U.S. The final stop on this leg of their tour is slated for April 6 in Detroit (Rock City).

With their collective eyes on the road ahead, Girlschool said they were thrilled to get to come back to our side of the pond one last time.

“We are very excited to announce the first leg of our return to the USA – for the first time in nearly a decade…and for what will be our final full tour of the United States. Also with us on this package we have the brilliant Alcatrazz and Lillian Axe.

“Our agency and management are making every effort to get us to as many cities as possible, and as always it’s all about where there is interest, so even if you have to travel a little bit — we would love to see you there at one of the shows!

“Cheers you lot.”

While this may seem like a final money grab tour, they’re actually also out in support of their 14th studio album WTFortyfive?, which released back on July 28.
