Within Destruction Drop Surprise EP

0

Within Destruction surprised the internet last week with a new EP, Rebirth. The record features six songs, and the deathcore band got some guest spots, including David Simonich of Signs Of The Swarm and Alan Grjnja of Distant.

Drummer Luka Vezzosi says about the EP:

“We had free time to do sort of a pet project for ourselves with no set deadlines or goals. We were basically just having fun with this release. There’s only a handful of deathcore bands that are doing something unique at the moment, and we felt like it’s the perfect timing for our return to show everyone we still got it.”

Guitarist Howard Fang says:

“The main focus was on bringing back an era of the band that was raw, aggressive, and in-your-face. The Void and Deathwish eras were a significant chapter in the band’s history, and we wanted to do a throwback with a new perspective and approach. We drew heavily from our influences and wrote the mini album with the intent of bringing the OG slamcore excitement and heaviness.”

The EP is somewhat of a concept album as well, as the lyrics focus on the Elden Ring video game universe. Each song is inspired by a different villian from the game.

The album’s lyrics are a play on the fantasy video game ‘Elden Ring’, with each song being inspired by the game’s antagonists.

Vocalist Rok Pristov says:

“I was fascinated by the game’s atmosphere, character, design and the incredible depths of its storytelling.”

Within Destruction will be touring the U.S. and Canada this spring with SiM and Fame On Fire.
