Sebastian Bach Drops First Song in a Decade

0

It’s been a while, but hair metal icon Sebastian Bach is back with his first single in about 10 years, ironically and fittingly titled “What Do I Got To Lose?”

The former frontman of Skid Row wrote the song with Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge and Slash and worked with producer Elvis Baskette on the track. What follows is a cheesy, radio-friendly anthem, but as the very name implies, the people who aren’t into that kind of thing likely won’t care for this song anyway.

The video for the song was directed by Jim Louvau and Tony Aguilera. It adds to the goofy and cheesy vibe, but in a way that’s still endearing.

“To me, ‘What Do I Got To Lose?’ is the perfect sentiment for me right now,” Bach says, expanding on that concept. “It’s an anthem for coming back and crushing it. It’s time to lay down the law and put the hammer down old school-style.”

And this small taste of new music isn’t it for the classic artist. He also has a full album on the way, although full details such as title, timeline, and label associations are currently up in the air. About the forthcoming album, Bach says:

“I cannot express enough how happy I am to have a full and complete team of rock and roll professionals on my side with RPM music. We have been working on this record together for over eight years and I could not be more proud of the results!”

We’ll be looking for more from Bach in the coming year, hopefully including some album details. After all, what does he have to lose?
