Mick Mars and Sebastian Bach Among the 2024 Metal Hall of Fame Inductees

Metalheads finally get our moment at the end of each year when we celebrate new inductees into the Metal Hall of Fame—for better or for worse. Winners for 2024 include Sebastian Bach, Tim “Ripper” Owens, Biohzard, and Whisky a Go Go.

This upcoming year marks the seventh anniversary of the Metal Hall of Fame Gala held each January. Lauded as Lauded as “the most important night in hard rock and heavy metal” (at least that’s their tagline), the event will happen January 24 at the Marriott Delta Garden Grove, Anaheim, CA. Radio personality Eddie Trunk is up for induction and will also be hosting the event—apparently that isn’t against their rules.

The event will also include surprise guests and all performances, including a jam between inductees, so it’s shaping up to a pretty big event.

This year’s final list of inductees includes:

Eddie Trunk (Special 40th Anniversary Induction)
Mick Mars (Special video induction)
Sebastian Bach (Inducted by Wendy Dio)
Tim “Ripper” Owens (KK’s Priest, Judas Priest, Iced Earth)
Carlos Cavazo (Quiet Riot)
Penelope Spheeris (Producer/Director: Decline of Western Civilization, Wayne’s World)
Mikael Maglieri (Whisky a Go Go, Rainbow Bar & Grill)
Cleopatra Records
Biohazard

Metal Hall of Fame President Pat Gesualdo said he looked forward to next month’s induction ceremony and accompanying performances.

“The 2024 Annual Metal Hall of Fame Gala is going to be another exciting night, with some legendary artists performing and sharing some great stories.”

The Metal Hall of Fame is a nonprofit dedicated to honoring musicians and music history. While there is always some scandal each year about who does and doesn’t get included, it’s nice to have the recognition for underground and heavy artists across the generations. Plus, proceeds from the event go to preserving metal for the future, as well as programs that support special needs children and wounded veterans—some very worthy causes indeed.
