Nest Announce New Album, Drop First Single “What’s the Issue”

St. Louis weirdos Nest, headed up by John Jarvis of Scour and Agoraphobic Nosebleed, just emerged from the nest to drop a new single and announce their album.

The record will be titled Endeavors, and it comes out April 12 via Housecore Records. The band just shared the album’s first single, “What’s the Issue,” which can be streamed below, and the record is now available for preorder.

As one would expect from a Jarvis project, the record is honed in and industrial with plenty of hardcore influence and also some weirdo elements like shoegaze and dance influence. This is the band’s fourth record, and their first with Housecore Records.

Jarvis says about the album:

“There are gorgeous nests, and then there are hideous and gross things like rats’ nests. I wanted to make music with beauty in it, but also some ugliness and darkness. A lot can happen in between.”

Those wishing to see Nest live can catch them on a short U.S. run with Pantera and Lamb of God. The second half of the run will be backed by Child Bite instead of Nest, and both sets of dates are below.
