Boundaries Announce Death Is Little More, “Easily Erased” Streaming Now
Metallic hardcore darlings Boundaries has been making the rounds lately, wowing critics all over the place with their sound and fury. Earlier today, the Connecticut-based outfit announced that they’d be releasing their album Death Is Little More on March 29 via 3DOT Recordings.
To celebrate the occasion, the band dropped the album’s first single and accompanying music video for the track “Easily Erased.” It’s just one of the dozen new songs featured on Death Is Little More. Speaking of the new album, vocalist and lyricist Matt McDougal said the band went to some dark places to put this album together.
“Death Is Little More is the culmination of our efforts at their deepest and darkest. We wanted to create something that embraces, frightens, and calls the listener to action. It’s one part diary, and one part doomsday.”
As for the title of the album, McDougal said the band took some inspiration from 14th century Italian poet Dante Alighieri and mastermind behind Inferno. Which, if you know anything about anything, is a kick ass read.
“Dante mentions dying would be barely any worse than living in a bitter black forest of existence. an idea I took and largely applied to the record thematically. Death Is Little More is about life at its most difficult. You’re not going to end your life, but you’re so stressed and overwhelmed that your life ending would feel like just another incident on the list. The concept stuck with me..”
