Paria Drop Animated Video for “Roadblock”

0

Experimental metal band Paria just shared a video for the song “Roadblock,” the second song they shared from their forthcoming EP Venerate.

The Omaha, NE band initially released the title track from that EP, which was the first music they’ve put out in 14 years. The record will be out via Lambgoat Records. We can already tell based on the two rippers that they’ve dropped that the EP will be worth the wait.

Their second video from the EP, “Roadblock,” can be streamed below. It was animated by Nina Hirten at Oh Just Peachy Studios. The live footage was shot by Aaron Gun, who made the EP’s first video. The song was mixed by Jim Homan of Screen Door Studios and mastered by Will Putney of Graphic Nature Audio.

Vocalist Brian Craig says about the song:

“The song is about the search for meaning in all things outside of immediate conscious experience. The search for meaning follows many paths with distraction-filled detours that obfuscate what is truly important in the present moment.”

Bassist Dustin Treinen says:

“Our new material is a culmination of years worth of thought, time, and energy. Nina Hirten understood that when collaborating on the music video. She approached this project with the same level of dedication to her craft as we do ours. ‘Roadblock’ is just the beginning…

We can’t wait for the full EP to drop, and hopefully the band will share tour announcements this year as well.
