Gatecreeper Unveil New Album Dark Superstition, Single “The Black Curtain” Out Now

0

It’s been done since last summer, but we now know all about Gatecreeper‘s next album. Titled Dark Superstition, the Arizona-based death metal juggernauts are set to release their third full-length album on May 17 via Nuclear Blast Records.

Having already released the album’s first single “Caught In The Treads” a couple weeks ago, the band put out the second single “The Black Curtain” earlier today. Just as its predecessor, this new track kicks all kinds of ass with a slightly more rock-facing sound.

According to vocalist Chase H. Mason, the themes expressed in this new track are indicative of the rest of the record.

“It’s about being trapped between living and dying. A soul trapped in purgatory begging to be brought back by a supernatural force.”

Though the band is currently gearing up for their South Asian tour later this month, they’ll be back for a run through the U.S. starting May 1, with dates running until May 26. Additional appearances are also scheduled throughout the year. If you’d like to catch ’em live, check out the full list of dates below.

Dark Superstition will be available on May 17, but you can preorder or presave your copy today.
