Terminal Nation’s New Track Featuring Nails’ Todd Jones is Ridiculously Brutal

Holy shit, man. Sometimes you can tell a song’s going to go hard just off its first few seconds and Terminal Nation‘s latest track “Written By The Victor” does not disappoint. As the lead single off their newly announced album Echoes Of The Devil’s Den, due out on May 3 via 20 Buck Spin, it’s one hell of a way to kick off a new release.

Featuring Nails vocalist Todd Jones and additional drums by Juan Cebreros, this new track is just wayyyyyy too heavy. And it’s only the beginning, as the new record will feature additional vocal cameos on various tracks by Killswitch Engage‘s Jesse Leach, Integrity‘s Dwid Hellion, Sex Prisoner’s K. Kennedy, and Elysia’s Zak Vargas.

Terminal Nation frontman Stan Liszewski said this particular song was the new album’s jumping off point because it perfectly sets the tone for what Echoes Of The Devil’s Den is bringing to the table.

“It’s been almost four years since our debut LP dropped. We poured so much of ourselves into this new record that I wanted to come out of the gates swinging. ‘Written By The Victor’ is a track about the manipulation of historical narratives.

“The song explores how the ruling class holds so much power, they can essentially rewrite history to fit whatever narrative they choose. Those who emerge victorious, whether it be through conflict or through the power held via their socioeconomic status, end up as the narrators, formulating history as we know it. We still see it today in the schools (or at least attempts) and in the media, where entire movements and major historical events are misrepresented, overshadowed, or completely omitted entirely.

“While there has been some evolution of this tactic throughout history, the basis and intent remain the same. It’s about keeping control of the narrative and sometimes it’s even as insidious as retelling the hero’s story, but through the villain’s eyes.”

Echoes Of The Devil’s Den was produced, engineered, and mixed by Ryan Bram at Homewrecker Recording Studio in Tucson, AZ, mastered by Brad Boatright at Audioseige, and completed with photography by Jacob Murry and cover artwork by Adam Burke.

The album will be available on May 3, but you can pre-order your copy today directly from 20 Buck Spin or through Bandcamp.
